Although Lyrita was (and remains) an independent company, it was always closely affiliated with Decca. The recordings were made usually by Decca's technical staff, (very often Kenneth Wilkinson and his team) and the records were cut, pressed and distributed by Decca until the early 1980s when Decca was acquired by Philips/Phonogram.
After this they were cut and pressed by a variety of companies including EMI, CBS and most famously Nimbus. In the early 1990s a small number of CDs were issued but eventually the company terminated its links with its distributor, Nimbus, and chose to remain in obscurity for many years.
Recently we have seen a resurgence of the label with many new and previously unreleased recordings surfacing for the first time.

Thanks to Nimbus's astonishingly high levels of care and quality control in the disc cutting and mastering processes and the use of a completely rebuilt and optimised cutting lathe, any disc bearing the NIMBUS ENGLAND stamp in the deadwax between the label and the grooves will be an astonishingly great sounding disc, far ahead of any other company's results at the time

DISC:
Absolutely immaculate!
Apart from a VERY FEW (LITERALLY ONE OR TWO) fine hairline grazes (caused by the disc being taken in and out of the inner sleeve) the disc is in AS NEW condition: as near to MINT as you will ever see
LOOKS UNPLAYED.
SLEEVE:
The front of the sleeve has been damaged by (I suspect) being in contact with something wet or damp, which dried while still in contact with the record sleeve.
This has removed some areas of the glazed front surface leaving the underlying cardboard exposed.
Otherwise
The sleeve is in near perfect condition with no other damage of any kind, apart from a tiny imperfection to the lower edge.
The open edges are crisp and tight.
Bright clean sheen front and back.
The corners are fine and undamaged

* I always insert two squares of corrugated cardboard around the disc, arranged so that the corrugations of each board are at right angles to each other for added stiffness.
* I guarantee that any disc I post out will not arrive bent, warped or damaged.
* I always remove the disc from the sleeve and pack the disc into a polythene outer cover.
* Unlike some ebay users I do NOT expect my buyers to pay my PAYPAL or EBAY charges. Not only is this against the spirit of the eBay "community" it is also forbidden by eBay's rules!
