Description
RCA Living Stereo LDS 6155, three disc boxed set, first red label discs with silver spot, pressed in England by Decca. Stampers are 1D 1D 3D 1D 2D 2D. Recorded in Italy, issued in the US in the deluxe Soria Series, with the same catalog number. Discs are housed in the original US Soria Series slipcase, along with the beautiful Soria booklet/libretto. There was never a UK box for this set, it only came like this.
Verdi, Otello, complete opera, with Jon Vickers, tenor, Leonie Rysanek, soprano, and Tito Gobbi, bass. Tullio Serafin conducts the orchestra and chorus of the Rome Opera House. See pics for program details.
