PLEASE READ BEFORE BIDDING: Please read the entire auction listing, including shipping costs, before writing to ask a question. OUR GOAL IS CUSTOMER SATISFACTION. Payment is required within seven days. We mail all paid items ONE WEEK after auctions end. Please keep in mind our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule by a day or two. We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order. We have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office. Overseas mail to some countries (Italy, Russia, France, in particular) has became very slow. Opening a dispute for slow mail is unacceptable and will result in blocking the bidder. We work hard to provide excellent service as is represented by our 8000 plus positive feedback. We use a VPI machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers for safe delivery. We take Customer Service seriously, and want you to be satisfied. LINDA HOYLE released her debut album “Pieces Of Me” in 1971 on the famous Vertigo label having fronted previously the band AFFINITY. Now some 44 years later "Pieces of Me" is one of the most sought of all VERTIGO SWIRL Lp's, getting upwards of $1800. + on eBay and other auction sites.
With lyrics described as “autobiographical, witty, and dark” - Affinity fans spanning generations will surely be overjoyed. "Pieces Of Me" is as if Linda never left AFFINITY!
"BACKLASH BLUES" is alone worth acquiring this album, an impact blues growler dominated by exceptional Chris Spedding razor side guitar theatrics, ear-pleasing to no end !
This record is a very blues oriented package but some of the songs include Soft Machinee elements as well, no big surprise when Linda is backed up by key Soft Machine members, plus the fantastic guitar work of Chris Spedding who delighted fans with his unique splatter guitar work in Piblokto & Battered Ornaments. This is one of the rarest albums released on the Vertigo swirl label. Apparently there were just 300 original copies made so it's needless to say how rare and valuable this album is nowadays. This is one of the best singers you'll come across. She's actually flat-out amazing with an incredible voice range which is showcased all throughout the album. Highlights are all throughout including the lumbering heavy acid rock of the title track, a great piece, with killer Spedding guitar work -- a very good listen with Linda Hoyle's wailing pipes. Anyone with a taste for Affinity and / or Linda Hoyle and her stunning voice isn't going to be disappointed with this album...An album by the way which has had "legendary" status for years but which actually lives up to the legend. Recommended highly.

CoNDITION: The Cover: rated: VG++ fragile UK production (gatefold cover) contains swirl Vertigo emblem at top right. The cover shows light previous light stray wear around the edges, nothing strong or significant so while not mint is very collectible just the same ... strong original colors, NO delete marks, no seam splits, no bends, no writing ... overall a great high level status collectible, one in which rates essential to any serious collection .
The Vinyl: rated: VG++ is full of shine, there are no more than little micro "slide" scuffs from inner sleeve and light use which was careful enough. The LP was play tested and while it appears it will play without issue, playback revealed passive surface in a few places, then goes completely away. Visually only a very light wispy soft hair scuffs that don't look to affect audio, so don't know where any audio surface would come from, may go away when cleaned on ultra sonic cleaner.
CONDITION: The cover: rated: still has a fresh appearance -- there are no delete marks, no split seams, no bends, and no writing ... VERY collection worthy ...
The vinyl: Rated: Clean and glossy with very enjoyable CLEAN audio ...play back should not reveal alarming distracting surface problems ... both labels are clean
