Description

THIS IS THE ORIGINAL US VINYL LP OF LEGENDARY COUNTRY BLUESMAN CLIFFORD GIBSON’S PRE-WAR RECORDINGS “BEAT YOU DOING IT” WHICH WAS ISSUED ON THE YAZOO LABEL IN THE 1970s. THIS IS THE ORIGINAL ISSUE, NOT A LATER RE-ISSUE.  IT SOLD FAIRLY POORLY BY YAZOO STANDARDS AT THE TIME AS GIBSON WAS ONE OF THE LESSER KNOWN PRE-WAR BLUESMEN. BUT I CAN TELL YOU HE WAS A BRILLIANTLY ORIGINAL AND TECHNICALLY SOPHISTICATED GUITARIST PLAYING FINGERSTYLE IN VARIOUS OPEN TUNINGS.

THIS LP IS IN EXTRAORDINARY CONDITION – MINT VINYL AND A COVER IN OUTSTANDING CONDITION!

I DOUBT YOU WILL HAVE ANOTHER OPPORTUNITY TO GET THIS INCREDIBLY RARE YAZOO ALBUM IN ANYTHING APPROACHING THIS CONDITION AGAIN! AND IF YOU LOVE PRE-WAR COUNTRY BLUES BUT HAVE NEVER HEARD CLIFFORD GIBSON I DON’T THINK YOU WILL BE DISAPPOINTED!

DONT MISS THIS OPPORTUNITY!

The record labels are in AMAZING condition with NO wear, NO writing, and NO spindle marks! I HAVE ONLY PLAYED THIS RECORD ON TOP QUALITY HI-FI EQUIPMENT. The vinyl is in SUPERB condition with NO scratches and NO scuff marks and NO spindle marks. The SOUND QUALITY reflects the superb vinyl. Overall the record sounds BRILLIANT! It plays with CRYSTAL CLEAR UNDISTORTED SOUND, NO pops, NO sticking, NO jumps, and NO crackle (apart from what was on the original 78s)! The record must grade MINT and plays SUPERBLY with ZERO DISTORTION! Believe me this record is NOT overgraded in ANY way! Brilliant!!

The heavyweight cover is in OUTSTANDING condition! It has NO wear to the spine. There is ONLY THE VERY SLIGHTEST wear to the top and bottom corners of the open edges side of the front and back cover. There is one 7cm diagonal crease to the back cover starting 8cm from the bottom left (open edge) corner and heading towards the open edge. There is ringwear and moderate rubbing to the front cover (see picture) but not the back cover (see picture). The cover is firm and strong. The opening edges are straight – ONLY THE TINIEST HINT of edge wear! The cover LOOKS AND FEELS OUTSTANDINGLY WELL PRESERVED FOR ITS AGE!

I TRY TO MAKE MY DESCRIPTIONS OF THE CONDITION OF ITEMS VERY PRECISE.

SEE FEEDBACK FROM MY RECENT BUYERS AND BID WITH CONFIDENCE.

THIS IS A MASSIVELY RARE LP TO FIND IN THIS CONDITION!  DONT MISS OUT!

For packaging I use strong record boxes with extra stiffeners to stop damage and bends to the cover. All LPs are sent out with the record packed separately from the original cover to stop splits and damage to the cover. All items are fully insured.
