ULTRA-RARE FRENCH LP, THICK BLUE LABEL, NOT SEEN MORE OF 2-3 TIMES IN LAST 15 YEARS
featuring the great composer Jean FRANÇAIX (1912-1997) at the piano ! Certainly one of the XXth century composers who have well kept the lightness of Mozart's music. Pupil of Nadia BOULANGER he was supported by RAVEL, then has composed for all instruments, operas, ballet, soundtracks. His own chamber music is still often played.
HE PLAYS HERE WITH SOME OF THE BEST WIND PLAYERS FOR MOZART.
ULTRA-DYNAMIC MONO SPOUND.
Recorded 1950.
SLEEVE CONDITION: VG+ (nice, has only few tiny superficial tears and minor lacks of laminate at spines)
RECORD CONDITION : VG++ & G++ (the wax is mostly silent, and nice except local blemishing spots seeming to be from wax quality, locally superficial marks ; the Cassation is VG++ mostly EX or better, with rare random ticks ; the Quintet has some light ticking mostly in the 2nd movement, but only few light-to-average repeating cracks on half a minute in this track - then the side is quieter /// nothing to really disturb a great mono sound on mostly fine background (playgraded with stereo equipment, should be better in mono)
