Description

Here´s an original mono copy of THE UNDERDOGS BLUES BAND - Same, released 1967 in New Zealand on Zodiac (lilac) ZLP 1033. A superb original first press (9 from 10 offered copies are on the green/white 2nd press label) from this most important record ever made outside the UK in this white men bluesy/psychy/R & B field. Blows most of the UK acts like Fleetwood, Mayall or Chicken Shack away. Raw, loud and dirty. Great and made by absolutely prefessionally musicians (Murray Grindlay, Neil Edwards) . Pre Underdogs, pre Human Instinct. Absolutely recommended and superrare.

Condition cover: vg++, the fully laminated sleeve is mint- except a mini tear (white on white) from removed sticker on top right front and a 5 cm seamsplit on centre of topspine. A few tiny lamination creases along the flaps on back. Spines are almost perfect and backspine is readable like new.

Condition record: m--, it has a few light visual hairlines and paperscuffs, plays fantastic with lightest background noises on start and between the tracks. A fantastic copy indeed and I'm not shure that there is a better one to get. Again..essential and in great shape.  

Condition labels: vg+, rest of removed sticker on S1, hardly to notice name written on side 2

I should mention that my gradings are visualy AND audible taken on a Wilson Benesch Act Two turntable combined with Sumiko Blue Point Special cartridge and this combination doesn't lie...I'm just a collector and don't like overgraded records so much...
