Description

THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA The United States Of America (Columbia CS 9614) Original MINT-

Original US first pressing of "The United States Of America" on Columbia Records (March 1968). An amazing and highly adventurous one-off release, "The United States Of America" very succesfully coupled avantgarde attitude with period psychedelia and a scything critique of "The American Way Of Love" (song title).

Along with David Vorhaus` White Noise from the UK and Fifty Foot Hose, Joe Byrd and Co.`s electronic soundscapes of American hypocrisy proved nothing short of visionary.

Grading:

VG++ COVER with slight bit of beginning ringwear. Please note that lighting on photos is unflattering: Ringwear is much less than it seems! Light staining along top edge (on back).

MINT- RECORD that looks practically unplayed. Original "Columbia 360 Sound" labels indicate that this is a US first pressing.

PLEASE NOTE: SHIPPING WILL BE $13 TO USA AND REST OF THE WORLD / $9 TO EUROPE.

eBay`s maximum mailing cost for the US is predetermined at $4. Obviously, the new pricing system does not foresee foreign sellers listing in the US. However, we cannot possibly ship a record to the US from Europe for this price. Please bid only if you agree with the mailing costs as outlined above.

PLEASE DO NOT PAY FOR THE ITEM BEFORE RECEIVING A PERSONALIZED PAYPAL INVOICE!
