Description
UNKNOWN ARTIST / AXE ??? - BECK STUDIO ACETATE 1969 - NEW VINYL LP
Tracklist
A1 Gipsy Woman A2 Time To Unfold B1 Waking B2 See MeSeelie Court is a new archival record label with a repertoire of over 50 lps already lined up for release, most are sourced from a private collection of super rare and often completely unknown British acetate and private pressing lps dating from 1965-1978, the most valuable lps that exist.
one of the lost masterpieces of the british heavy progressive underground scene, 3 intense guitar dominated tracks with male and female vocals with some of the tightest jamming you can imagine, searing leads, and intense basslines. the bass is sensational especially on 'waking'...its probably coming out of Cream, and going into an Elias Hulk, May Blitz direction but with a pure underground jamming vibe, really its about the musical interplay, deceptively loose, but fantastic musicians really in a zone. the last track is with the female singer taking the lead and is just gorgeous, a spaced out jazz inflected deep moody prog tune thats the perfect closer. with Dark, Nemesis, Grannie, Barney James & Warhorse -Koneg, Parable, Hellmet, Jessie Harper...one of the few 69-73 private and unknown lps thats 100% killer.
note - steve giles of dark thinks anthony barford (rip) of axe may be the guitarist. the one existing acetate was cut at beck studios with identical labels as the axe acetates and it looks exactly the same date as axe/ crystalline, but this is heavier musically...barford is known to have been a killer guitarist, and they all lived around northampton home of beck studios...just a theory from the darkside.
