Description
UPTOWN SYNDICATE
Rare Oklahoma funk
Here's a rare slice of funk that's only recently been discovered, and the big surprise is that it's coming out of Oklahoma City ! The Uptown Syndicate cut at least two singles, both of which are well worth seeking out. This is the second of those and is also on Fat City Records.
The song "Bloated" is a killer funk instrumental with a real tempo to it, with syncopated horns, and unusual rhythm beat and even a breakdown to sample.
The other side is "Just Be Yourself" and is a mid-tempo vocal item. This item doesn't turn up very often so grab it while you can. It seems that this appears on eBay only about once a year.
LISTEN TO PART OF THIS RECORD HERE!
CONDITION: VG+ single with a few marks on the vocal side.
