This is one of the copies that has the hand-designed covers spray painted by Johnny Waste and Sonny Baron. Each copy is different and the one pictured is A SAMPLE only. Once received, please don't write saying, the one you won is not the one pictured. Each of these are unique and come on black vinyl with an insert only in this pressing. Again, there are only 100 available, you will get a download code with this LP.
In 1982, Urban Waste unknowingly released one of the most influential hardcore punk 7"s of all time. Almost as quickly as they were part of the early foundation of NYHC, the band came to an abrupt halt leaving behind a legendary legacy that kept bootleggers in business for nearly 3 decades. In the late 00's, the original line-up of Kenny Ahrens, Johnny Waste and John Dancy along with new recruit on bass Sonny Baron set out to do what they couldn't do back in the 80's and that is finish what they started! Urban Waste had no intention of releasing an LP of new material and until they played a couple of shows in New England (their first ever!) they hadn't even given it a second thought. After their first appearance in western Mass, a deal was struck and Urban Waste returned to NYC to flesh out tracks for their first LP. Paul Kostabi (Youth Gone Mad, Hammerbrain, Psychotica, Dee Dee Ramone) recorded all of the tracks at his Piermont Studios in upstate New York. Some of the songs are from the old days that were never properly recorded (if ever) and many of the new compositions fit right in. This is Urban Waste 1982 in 2010 and it's pretty damn awesome if you ask me!
