Description
URIAH HEEP: Magician's Birthday, UK Pink Rim island ILPS 9213, 1972 LP. This LP is not supposed to exist - the normal first pressing is on the Bronze label, a label whose early titles were manufactured by Island. But this is a genuine Pink Rim Island pressing, with ILPS 9213 A 1-u, ILPS 9213 B 1-u matrixes, identical to the 1st Bronze pressing matrixes. (Additional matrix info: G. KONG (had etched both sides); 1 G; 1 V (upside down v, could be a A) machine stamped). Eveything indicates a genuine UK pressing. This issue is obviously comparable to the rare UK Island pressing of the Jethro Tull Aqualung LP. Only, this is probably FAR rarer, judging by my experience. This could be a sort of test pressing - whatever the explanation, this LP is beyond rare. Any questions are welcome, though my what I know here is what I have told so far. Any new info is more than welcome. CONDITION, disc is VG++, with some light marks only, plays great, with minimal noise. Cover is VG++, would be Excellent+ if not for a small rip in back cover near opening (no part missing, this is almost invisible).

GRADINGS
I have ten years of experience of selling vintage vinyl. I aim at selling top quality LPs only. Gradings are on the M/ EX/VG+/VG scale. I will rarely I sell LPs less than VG+, unless of considerable rarity.
- MINT- is superb, almost like new. No marks, scratches, clicks, noise, or anything else.
- EX is also VERY nice, 2-3 light marks perhaps, no disturbing noise, great sound quality.
- VG+, a nice player, but probably has some visual impairments, and some clicks or light noise in places; always see the individual description.
- VG: Rarely put of for sale, an ok copy, but always see the individual description.
PLAYGRADING
There's no guessing about condition from visual look. The visual look of a record is very important, but it only tells part of the truth. Therefore I playgrade and carefully check all my offered LPs.
SHIPPING
I ship in strong, brand new cruciform shipping boxes with padding inside. The boxes are slightly bigger than the normal LP-size, thereby providing good protection of corners and edges. I remove LPs from sleeves, in order to prevent seam-splits on transit. IF YOU HAVE INDIVIDUAL REQUIREMENTS regarding shipping, I will always do my best to coorporate.
The shipping qoutes are for 'regular' LPs. If an LP is extra heavy and cannot be shipped at the normal rate I have made the note 'Heavy LP, ships at the price of 2'.
