This is a very rare item for the serious Uriah Heep collector!
As far as I know, leading up to the release of Uriah Heep's second album "Salisbury", there was some big controversy regarding the cover art, which depicts a British tank. The now familiar, iconic sleeve of Salisbury, was initially banned in some markets like the United States and Canada. This should be a pre-release version of that sleeve for the German market. The tank is recognizable but not in detail and the text (artist and title) is much more prominent than later on the retail version.
The sleeve looks handmade, but I am not sure. The back side is plain white. There are traces of a removed narrow sticker on the top right corner, which may or may not have been originally applied by manufacturing. Certainly this is a very rare item, not many copies should have been made, and even less should exist now.
The vinyl is the original German first pressing on Vertigo swirl labels. See photos for matrix numbers to confirm. It plays great, with little to no surface noise, no marks or scratches, some dust. Please note: I do not clean vinyl to make it "look better". If you want to clean it, please use your preferred method.
