Description
PIG NEWTON & THE WIZARDS FROM KANSAS - Still In Kansas (Rockadelic RRLP-48, USA 2003)
One year, in 1969, before the released their legendary self titled album on the Mercury label they recorded a demo tape in the Cavern Sound Studios under the name Pig Newton with a slighty differnet line up. Heavier, with more up front guitars and no keyboards this tracks sound very different as on their legendary 1970 LP. Six cuts are from their Mercury album, also included is a wah wah cover of Dylan´s "All Along The Watchtower" and a never heard original tune, called "Clouds Of Exchange". Comes with 2 inserts that shows posters, photos and articles of the band - as well as their story told by drummer Marc Caplan. A very fine work from this prolific US label
