UTOPIA
Utopia

HERE WE HAVE AN EXCELLENT AND EXTREMELY SCARCE UNITED ARTISTS (UAG 29438) FIRST PRESSING (1973) OF UTOPIA's EPONYMOUS AND ONE AND ONLY LP

Not to be confused with any of Todd Rundgren's projects, this Utopia wasn't really a group, but the first solo project of Amon Duul II's Lothar Meid which couldn't be released under his name due to contractual reasons. The album was made with help from several of his earlier band mates from Amon Duul II, Embryo, Passport and Cherubin

SUPERB AND VERY RARE PSYCH/PROG/KRAUTROCK LP IN GREAT CONDITION - THIS ALBUM HARDY EVER TURNS UP FOR SALE - HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

LABELS: The labels are CLEAN and BRIGHT with NO unwanted marks/writing and only a handful of light spindle traces
VINYL Visual: The surfaces have their original DEEP, GLOSSY SHEEN with a few superficial light marks which have NO real audio consequence (see detailed audio assessment below)
VINYL Audio: The audio is CRYSTAL CLEAR, RICH, WARM and VIBRANT. There are NO scratches, NO sticks or jumps just some occasional, minor surface noise and the occasional light click (nothing major or intrusive) otherwise, the album plays to a very high standard with SUPERB AUDIO CLARITY, NO distortion and NO groove-wear. Must be graded EXCELLENT for audio - SOUNDS SUPERB. NOT over-graded in ANY way as I use STRICT RECORD COLLECTOR grading standards (please refer to my feedback and 'about me' page). A VERY FINE FIRST PRESSING OF AN EXTREMELY RARE LP
SLEEVE: The cover is in EXCELLENT condition with some surface rubbing and evidence of a price label (front top right) but the marking is light and the cover is not damaged in any way. There is also some light 'ring' to the back (please see photos) and a patch of rubbing to the spine but all text is still CLEAR and BOLD. Overall, a fine first press sleeve
The original UA inner sleeve has NO splits and is in lovely condition
