Description
THIS AUCTION LOT CONSISTS OF: One ultra-RARE original Northwest rock 'n' roll vinyl 45 -- The Vanguards "Wild" / "Donny" [ Mecca Records JB 2423 / JB 2422 ]. "Wild" is a savage rockin' instrumental, "Donny" is a charming teen ballad featuring the Du-Ettes (two sisters, Bonnie & Annie Sloan). Disc was recorded at Joe Boles' West Seattle Studio (hence the label's JB series code) where the Wailers, Frantics, Ventures, and countless other 1st generation NW rock tunes were cut. Mecca was owned by the Sloan's father and examples of the label's few releases almost never turn up. I am weeding this from my collection, and have owned it for almost 30 years. Best of luck bidding!
