Description
Label: See photo, original pressing, acetate test pressing dated 11-22-82Record Grade: VG, has some surface scratches, nothing that seems like it will cause issues. Overall in nice shape. I gave this a light cleaning with some distilled water and vacuum-dried it on the VPI. I dropped the needle on a few parts of the record and it sounded great. I didn't want to play it all the way through as it's an acetate. I recommend recording it the first time you play it as acetates have a reputation for deteriorating with repeated playing.
Cover Grade: Was found in the manilla sleeve as shown. I placed it in a generic innersleeve for safe-keeping. Will be shipped with care with a top-grade crush-proof record mailer.
Note: Very interesting discovery here. This appears to be an early test press/acetate of what would become the Complete Thom Bell Sessions release. Of note, the date on the labels is 11-22-82. The record was not commercially released until 1989. Even more significant, the version of Ready For Love on here has a run-time of 9:50 while what ended up being released is only 8:15! The other songs are within a couple seconds of corresponding to the commercial release. There are also some differences in the song titles. For instance, "Same Old Country Song" here was retitled "Country Love Song".
