RARE PROMO COPY WITH AUTOGRAPHED INNER PICTURE SLEEVE/ ORIGINAL RELEASE PRESSING
In 1977 I was working at the Sounds Good record store in Chicago on Broadway at Belmont. We had an in-store appearance by Television to meet their fans and I asked the band to autograph their lp for me...one of the promo copies the pr people from WEA had given the store employees. If I remember correctly this was the same weekend that they played the Riviera Theater in Uptown on a double bill with Peter Gabriel- a concert I attended. Since so few people actually heard the band live outside of New York, I should add that the music that night was incredible- the set list was much the same as the music on the first lp. The Riviera Theater with it's broad-lipped stage and wonderful acoustics was a great visual and listening setting for the band and thankfully the sound system was first rate. A truly memorable musical night.
The record has been in my collection ever since....exactly 35 years now. It has been correctly stored and never cleaned by solvents or soap - protected by a heavy clear vinyl sleeve. RECORD: The record was played many times and the lp cover is beginning to split along the top. The autographed inner-sleeve is in absolutely perfect condition. (See photos) COVER: I would rate the outer sleeve as in VG-G condition considering it's age and the record about the same. It has always been played on a mid-grade audiophile quality turntable and cartridge.
I will reply to all serious inquiries. The lp will ship double wrapped in bubbl-pak and completely surrounded by cardboard. I ship Fed-Ex.
