Women / Michelle 45 Acetate Test Pressing


Here is vintage 8" test pressing of Peter & Gordon's "Woman" on one side and The Beatles "Michelle" on the other. There is no artist listed and no catalog or matrix numbers etched into it - only the typewritten titles on the sides of the label. I compared to P&G's version of "Woman" and the music is very similar but the vocals are a little off. I could not find any released 45's where any artist covers both songs on the same single, so it's a real mystery! My guess would be that someone made it as a demo back then to shop around to the record labels and they never got signed.

The vinyl is VG+ with some light scuffs and marks. It has background noise in places and I have not tried to clean it, so it may sound better if you do. The sound samples below are of the actual vinyl you will receive. It comes in a generic paper sleeve.
