Description
Cool 2-sider garage surf instro acetate 45 by an unknown band, assumingly out of Michigan. This acetate was found in the Downriver Detroit area and has the song titles written on masking tape on each side, but no band name. This acetate is a 2-sided garage surf instrumental, sounds like early to mid-60's. The ‘Knight train’ side is definitely the better side with cool guitar. The flip ‘Wail It part 2’ is also a decent instrumental. There are some tiny areas of lacquer flaking on the edge of the disc, but does not affect play. Record is without labels, and it play grades VG overall. Lo-fi recording as expected with an acetate. There is one spot on the 'Wail It' side near the middle of the song where the needle does skip one revolution, otherwise record plays thru both sides without any problems. There is a shadow on the edge of the vinyl in one of the pictures, it is NOT any heat damage or anything like that. Grading Scale:
NM = A near perfect record in every way. Record shows no obvious signs of wear.
VG++ = Somewhere between VG+ and Near Mint.
VG+ = Record has been played, but previous owner took good care of it. Record will have light scuffs or light scratches that don't affect one's listening experience. VERY little to no background/surface noise will be heard while the record is playing.
VG = Light to moderate Background/surface noise will be evident upon playing, especially in soft passages and during a song's fade and intro. This background noise will not overpower the music otherwise, however. Groove wear and light scratches (deep enough to affect sound) will be noticeable. Still a nice record.
VG- = Somewhere between VG and G+.
G/G+ = Significant surface noise upon playing. Scratches and visible groove wear will be evident. Record will play through without skipping or sticking however.
Fair/Poor = Cracked, severly warped, with skips or sticks, or have obvious signs of HEAVY play. Basically it will serve better as a coaster than a record.
