Description

Unreleased Latin Soul 10" Acetate

This acetate is an unreleased version of the song 'Never Gonna Let You Go' by Jobell and the Orchestra De Salsa.  The released version was a Cleethorpes spin back in the day, but, in my opinion, this version is far superior.  The released version of the song (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BXEnSMPnn_k&feature=related) is very produced and polished, while this version (probably an audition version of the song) has a raw feel more characteristic of earlier latin soul/boogaloo.  No label or pressing information to be found on the acetate, just the title written in wax crayon. Track clocks in at about 2:05. 

The acetate has some scratches and I would grade it at strong VG-.  Plays through loud enjoyable and clear with some background noise but no skips or other problems.  Take a listen to the MP3s taken directly from the record and judge for yourself.  MP3s are unedited--what you hear is what you get. Don't Sleep!
