DESCRIPTION: Uriah Heep LP- Look at Yourself. In original thick (double sided) Mirror cover. With inner sleeve. Early (1st) UK pressing matrices ending A1U/B1U . LABEL AND CATALOGUE NUMBER: Bronze ILPS9169 YEAR OF RELEASE: 1971 COUNTRY OF RELEASE: UK CONDITION (VINYL/COVER): EX/VG. Vinyl is very clean with a nice dark sheen. I never need any excuse to play grade uriah heep Lps!! Played passages of this today on my Pro-ject Deck at a loud volume . Sits perfectly flat on the turntable. Sounds excellent. Clear and loud, great depth and seperation. Cover is reasonably firm and has near moderate edgewear, cornerwear and creasing. It has 2 small tears about 1-2 cm long at edge of mirror part of front cover- these are not bad at all, most of the copies of this I have seen recently have had large tears or had the mirror cellotaped down. Inner is pretty white still with a touch of spotting. Inner almost has a 1" split to bottom edge. Clean labels. No writing,stickers or sticker tears. Grading system: I use UK’s “Record Collector” Grading System but please note that GRADINGS ARE VISUAL ONLY UNLESS STATED. You are likely to get some background noise , even if its just between the tracks on 30-40 year old vinyl records!! :: MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface mark or deterioration in the sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in the sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing. VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover, or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable. GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound has noticably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding,scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration etc. I will at times use a + or - to indicate when a record falls between the grades. I REMOVE ALL VINYL FROM SLEEVES (INCLUDING SIGNIFICANT INNERS) PRIOR TO POSTING. RECORDS ARE SENT IN BEST QUALITY MAILERS WITH 2 STIFFENERS. Well, since i got married i spend part of my saturday night listening to my favourite LPs and as there are already a lot of people watching this I thought I would play this in its entirety and update the listing. Ive got it on my Pro-ject deck and its around 18 on the volume (the kids are in bed, give me a break!). "Look at Yourself" sounds great but its such a loud and powerful track I have  never heard it sound poor!!. A much better test is "July Morning" with its vocal only passages. This is a very clean record and has been looked after as there is nothing in the way of surface sound on this, just great vocals and music, all of side 1 is superb. Im happy to grade records from Nm to Fair but i must say the sound on this is faultless, perfect. Side 2 has also been listened to in its entirey and there is no surface sound just, great sounding music. Great clarity, depth and seperation!!. Awesome. Cheers, Stan.
