Description
TELEVISION: Marquee Moon. Used LP in Mint/Near Mint condition. Elektra Records LP Catalog # 7E-1098; 1977
Condition: Vinyl could pass for never played (I probably played it once since bought new—a later pressing, can’t claim it’s “vintage”); jacket has no significant flaws, just a tiny wrinkle and minor shelf wear. Was protected by original shrinkwrap until I removed it to take pics for this listing.
Behind the Music: If you’ve never heard the 10-minute-long title tune of this album on the radio, you weren’t listening to good stations! It’s one of those unmistakably-instantly-recognizable Radio Classics. Trust me, I know radio like the back of my hand. Fearless leader Tom Verlaine (guitar, lead vocals) is joined by Richard Lloyd, Fred Smith and Billy Ficca. An excellent example of what was good about Pop Music in the 1970s.
- About the seller: I am downsizing my personal belongings, and you can benefit. Unless otherwise indicated, all my records have been owned by me alone and treated with loving care. No scratches or gouges. I have been a Jazz radio broadcaster for 30+ years, but my musical tastes are wide-ranging. You will see this as my listed offerings grow. New items added weekly, check back often!
PLEASE NOTE: I will not sell anything for less than $9.99, as it’s not worth packaging the item up and taking it to the Post Office. Sure, you can buy an LP for 50 cents or less at a yard sale, but will it have been cared for like mine? Not likely.
FREE SHIPPING to U.S. address for purchase of any item of $100 or more.
