On 12-Mar-13 at 15:44:10 GMT, seller added the following information: WELL, EVIDENTLY SOMEONE CAN'T READ! (Yes, someone left a bid, despite my note above, which I have now removed!) Being as you can't alter the description of an item after a bid has been left, I am having to add the description like this instead. Please therefore ignore the note above and feel free to bid (high)! So, to the description...This week I am listing the final batch from a fabulous collection of blues and jazz records I acquired from a keen collector - and I have saved the best till last! LPs from some iconic labels including Biograph, Yazoo, Stash, Herwin, Storyville, Riverside and Arhoolie, most in excellent condition, and a few still sealed! (Used records have been graded visually, but as they are old and have been played, and indeed as many of the recordings are 80 or so years old, some surface noise or crackle is to be expected. Any more significant marks will be mentioned.)
Label/number: Stash ST-117
Condition/other comments: Still in original shrink wrap, not sealed but little if any sign of play. Great risqué tracks include 'Hustlin' Woman Blues', 'She Skuffles That Ruff', 'I'm In The Racket', 'Kitchen Mechanic Blues', and 'New Shave 'Em Dry'.
Featured musicians/singers: Memphis Minnie, Maggie Jones, Virginia Liston, Lil Johnson, Sam Theard, Billie Pierce, C. Williams, Lonnie Johnson, Georgia White, Ma Rainey, Clara Smith, Irene Scruggs, Bertha 'Chippie' Hill, Lucille Bogan.
