A - UK 1981 ORIGINAL CASSETTE WITH BOOKLET AND INSERTS IN PLASTIC BAG 13 TRACKS BY: ATTRITION RELIGIOUS OVERDOSE COMPONENT EROTICA PASSION XEROX 3-WAY DANCE BRON AREA THE AUCADIAN Genuine original and rare 1981 cassette only compilation release with minimal synth and avant-garde punk bands from the Midlands area - this is the first cassette by the Alternative Sounds fanzine based in Coventry under the Alternative Sound Tapes label name. As it explains in the booklet, this is the 2nd edition as the tape is being produced in batches of 100 according to demand. There are also some inserts advertising 'Adventures In Reality' fanzine (relative paper) and Religious Overdose tapes and single on Glass Records. The cassette plays with some sound distortion at the start of each side and ends quite suddenly while the songs still play at the end. But I think this is because they put extra tracks than listed on the cover, i.e. I could recognize 'You Would Be Amazed' by Bron Area which is not listed on the cover at all. Towards the end of the track the cassette stops so possibly they just put some extra music to fill the full duration of it. A great original punk & new wave item from the avant-garde and the independent cassette scene of the early '80s, 100% genuine and in nice very condition. CONDITION (I don't use higher than ex/ex) cover: vg+ cassette: vg * I wouldn't use higher than vg+ for these old DIY and poor-quality cassettes, always with minor defects depending on the quality of the equipment too, this one plays with sound distortion at the start of both sides, then improves (at least this is how it plays on my equipment which is of average quality).
