ORIGINAL UK CHARISMA (CAS 1120) FIRST PRESSING (October 1976) OF VAN DER GRAAF'S SUPERB "World Record" LP - IN GREAT CONDITION (once/twice played at most) AND DELIVERING SENSATIONAL AUDIO (ON MY SYSTEM - AT A VERY LOUD VOLUME) - FANTASTIC COPY OF THIS FIRST PRESSING - WHICH IN MY EXPERIENCE IS VERY HARD TO FIND IN DECENT PLAYING CONDITION - THIS IS ONE OF THE FINEST I HAVE HEARD
PRESSED WITH THE FIRST SMALL HATTER LABELS
FIRST PRESS MATRIX: CAS 1120 A//2 C 11 22 and CAS 1120 2Y//1 C 13 4
THE RECORD IS HOUSED IN THE ORIGINAL SINGLE MATT SLEEVE WITH BACK PRINTED LYRICS "Printed in England by James Upton Ltd."
AND COMES COMPLETE WITH THE ORIGINAL PLAIN WHITE INNER SLEEVE

Side 2: MEURGLYS III (THE SONGWRITER'S GUILD) / WONDERING
LABELS: Clean, bright and fresh labels with hardly any signs of use - just one/two light spindles - NEAR MINT
VINYL Visual: Both surfaces retain their original deep, glossy sheen with just a few superficial light marks which have no real audio consequence (this copy plays much better than many MINT looking ones I have seen) - EXCELLENT
VINYL Audio: Gorgeous audio reproduction on this first pressing (even thought the cut is fairly quiet) with a crystal clear and detailed sound - deep, rich and beautifully warm. On careful play at a very, very loud volume (due to the quiet cut) there are no scratches, no sticks/jumps and barely any surface noise - just an touch on some of the quietest sections/track divisions (very minor) and a few light clicks at the very beginning of "Meurgys III" - but I did play-grade at a VERY loud volume and this is still one of the finest I have heard in a while. Otherwise, the record plays beautifully with no groove-wear, no distortion, sounds superb and is critically graded EXCELLENT (+) for audio - great copy and very hard to find playing this well
SLEEVE: The untreated matt sleeve is clean and unmarked with just a little storage 'bumping' to the corners otherwise the edges and spine are crisp, square and unworn and all text on the spine is clear and bold - EXCELLENT
