Record Condition: VG- to VG (Lower Grade)

Details:

Lot of 5 lower grade condition classic rock record albums. All records cleaned, visually inspected, and playgraded. Records are in VG- to VG condition (some have slight warp but still play, please read description) based on grading criteria listed below. Lot includes all records as pictured.

1. Van Halen - 5150 (Semi-Rare Original 1986 Warner Brothers Release). Visually inspected and playgraded. Side 1: Visually, Side 1 looks VG+ (Near EX) but there is a notable slight warp. Played and didn't note any "jumps" or "skips". All Side 1 tracks play VG+ or better but due to warp I am downgrading Side 1 to a VG condition album side. Side 2: Visually, Side 2 looks VG+ (Near EX) but it is also slightly warped. Played and noted a few "jumps" and "skips" at the beginning of Track 1 and one brief skip noted at the end of Track 3. Remaining Side 2 tracks play VG+ or better. Due to warp/skip I am downgrading Side 2 to a VG- condition album side. Cover: Above average condition (VG+) with minor wear. Inner Sleeve: Original as shown, above average condition.

2. ZZ Top - Deguello (Warner Brothers Release). Visually inspected and playgraded. Side 1: Visually, Side 1 looks VG+ but there is a notable slight warp. Played and noted some significant "jumps" or "skips" at the beginning (about 1 minute) of Track 1. Remaining Side 1 tracks plays VG+ with no issues.  Due to warp/skip I am downgrading Side 1 to a VG- condition album side. Side 2: Visually, Side 2 looks VG+ but there is a notable slight warp. Played and didn't note any "jumps" or "skips". All Side 2 tracks play VG+ but due to warp, I am downgrading Side 2 to a VG condition album side. Cover: Average condition (VG) with basic wear and tear. Inner Sleeve: Original as shown, average condition.

3. Def Leppard - On Through the Night (Mercury Release). Visually inspected and playgraded. Side 1: Visually Side 1 looks VG+ (Near EX) but there is a notable slight warp. Played and noted a few "jumps and skips" at the beginning (less than 30 seconds) of Track 1. Remaining Side 1 tracks plays VG+ or better with no issues.  Due to warp/skip I am downgrading Side 1 to a VG- (Near VG) condition album side. Side 2: Visually, Side 2 looks VG+ (Near EX) but there is a notable slight warp. Played and didn't note any "jumps" or "skips". All Side 2 tracks play VG+ (Near EX) or better but due to warp, I am downgrading Side 2 to a VG condition album side. Cover: Average condition (VG) with basic wear and tear. Inner Sleeve: Not significant.

4. Gamma - Gamma 2 (Elektra Release). Visually inspected and playgraded. Side 1: Visually Side 1 looks VG (notable scuff/scratch on T2) and there is a notable warp (cupped). Played and noted some significant "jumps" or "skips" throughout most of Track 1. Track 2 plays without issues. Track 3 plays plays with what sounds like some distortion (possibly due to heat damage). Track 4 plays without issues. Due to warp/skip/issues I am downgrading Side 1 to a G (Very low grade) condition album side. Side 2: Visually, Side 2 looks VG+ but there is a notable warp. Played and noted some significant "jumps" or "skips" throughout most of Track 1. Remaining Side 2 tracks play without issues but due to warp, I am downgrading Side 2 to a VG- (Low grade) condition album side. Cover: Above average condition (VG+) with minor wear. Inner Sleeve: Original as shown, average condition.

5. Tesla - Mechanical Resonance (Semi-Rare Original 1986 Geffen Release). Visually inspected and playgraded. Side 1: Visually, Side 1 looks VG (notable scuff/light scratch that spans all of Side 1). Played and noted some moderate surface noise. No skips noted on any of the Side 1 tracks. It plays better than it looks. Due to notable surface noise/markings, I am downgrading Side 1 to a VG- (Near VG) condition album side. Side 2: Visually, Side 2 looks VG with moderate surface markings. Played and noted some moderate surface noise. No skips noted on any of the Side 2 tracks. I grade Side 2 to a VG condition album side. Cover: Above average condition (VG+) with minor wear. Inner Sleeve: Original as shown, average condition.

Records listed have been cleaned using a Nitty Gritty 1.5 cleaning system.

I do my best to be fair and honest with my record grading assessments.  I will provide as much detail as possible to give potential buyers everything they need to know about the product(s) you are bidding on. I inspect and grade all vinyl by either listening to or visually inspecting under bright lighting. If play graded, it will be noted. Major anomalies will be noted. Bid with confidence as returns are accepted.

Vinyl Grading Classification:

(SS) Still Sealed = Sealed in original shrink wrap. Anomalies (Saw cuts, cut-out holes, creases, etc.) will be noted.

(NM) Near Mint = A superb LP record that is nearly perfect. No visible defects, appears to be new, except without the sealed shrink wrap. A good description of a NM record is ?It looks like it just came from a retail store and it was opened for the first time.? 

(EX) Excellent = An LP record that is very close to (NM) with minor defects allowed.

(VG+) Very Good Plus = An LP record that has been played, but well cared for.  It may show light wear, such as light scratches or scuffs.

(VG) Very Good = An LP record that exhibits signs of use. Limited scuffs and scratches causing moderate surface noise that will be evident upon playing.  Defects should not overpower the music.

(VG-) Very Good Minus = An LP record considered acceptable. The record will play through but with significant surface noise and possible skips.  Well used vinyl.

(G) Good = An LP record marginally acceptable. LP exhibits visible scratches, significant skips/jumps and bad surface noise.

Note: I do not sell records below a 'Good' rating unless collectible.

Cover Grading Classification:

(NM) Near Mint = LP cover has no creases, folds, seam splits or other noticeable defects. No cut-out holes, either. The same is true for any inserts, posters, lyric sleeves and the like.

(EX) Excellent = LP cover very close to NM, minor defects allowed.

(VG+) Very Good Plus = LP cover may have slight signs of wear and may also be marred by a cut-out hole, indentation or corner indicating it was taken out of print and sold at a discount.  Inner sleeve and will have some moderate wear, and may have lightly turned up corners.

(VG) Very Good = LP cover may have light to moderate ring wear, some tape, stickers, glue, writing, a small seam split, but not all of these defects. Too many of these types of defects will degrade the cover to a Good (G) classification.

(G) Good = LP cover shows signs of significant wear that includes seam splits (especially at the bottom or on the spine) and worn corners. Tape, writing, ring wear or other defects will start to overwhelm the object.

(F) Fair = LP cover that barely holds and protects the record. LP cover may include (but not all) the following defects: marred by wear, writing, water damage, seam splits on all three sides, inner sleeve seams splits, crinkled and written upon. If it is a common LP cover/sleeve, you'll need to find another copy in better shape to replace it.

Shipping:

USA Domestic: I do not gouge customers on shipping and handling fees. Domestic shipments will be shipped via USPS Economy Media Mail so I can pass savings along to customers. USPS Media Mail shipments can take up to 10 business days to arrive depending on location. All shipments include a USPS tracking number with delivery conformation. Handling time is 1 to 2 business days.

Packaging:

LP will be boxed carefully in a corrugated box made specifically for LPs to protect the cover.  LP package will include a clear plastic outer sleeve. LP will be removed from cover for shipping to prevent seam splitting (unless sealed).

 Winning Multiple Listings:

If buyer wins multiple listings I will combine shipping costs. If you win multiple listings please wait for the Invoice before making payment so I can accurately adjust shipping costs.
