In 1987, THIRTY FIVE years ago, a group of popular artists were asked to contribute tracks to a holiday album that would help the Special Olympics organization. It was the 80s, so some of your biggest pop stars included Bruce Springsteen, Sting, Run D.M.C., Bon Jovi, Whitney Houston, who are all on here! A total of FIFTEEN tracks from FIFTEEN different big-name pop, rock, hip hop, and soul artists! And all for a very special cause...

The first pressings were sent to radio stations and record stores, to promote the album. It used a beautiful gold foil trim, as well as artwork by Keith Haring. The artists contributed songs, and did not get paid. The label, A&M, also contributed their costs to this awesome charity fund raiser. The result? MILLIONS donated for the Special Olympics! Several sequels were released through the years, as well as a video containing the original album's music artists and the videos for their songs!

This copy is still in its original shrinkwrap, (though its been gently used, and kept in storage). It has a hype sticker, as well as a price tag, on the outside of the shrinkwrap. It also comes with its original insert sleeve, which is the credits and song titles. Sleeve has a few rough patches, but isn't torn, and holding up well. The vinyl itself looks fantastic, and is still shiny and clean! The outer jacket looks really, really good, and has only a tiny bit of shelfwear on it, mostly on the corners. A really great Christmas vinyl collectible, just in time for the gift-giving holiday season that's banging on the door! This year give the best gift of all...the gift of music...on vinyl!

I have no control over the USPS, or how long it takes for mail deliveries, (which have been running late since last year). Please keep this in mind when making a purchase. I'll also insure this for the sale price, in case something happens in transit!
