~This is the extremely rare lost British folk album. The Observer has recently voted this album as "one of the best British albums of all time". The Record Collector Rare Record Price Guide 2006 has a guide of £350 for a mint copy. However, a recent article, Record Collector, April 2005, has revalued this rarity at £750 for a mint copy! Our copy up for auction has been rated good+ and the sleeve good - RRPG grading used. A more detailed track guide follows. This record was evaluated on a good system with new Goldring stylus (the evaluation of the record is based on this system - yours maybe better or worse, so please use the listing as a guide to condition). It is recommended that the record be professionally cleaned.

SIDE 1

1/ Diamond Day - Some surface noise and light crackling at start, this gets better toward the end.

2/ Glow Worms Some crackling and surface noise. There is a small raised blister from production and this emits a low bump half way through the track - it does not skip. A very haunting track.

3/4/5/6/& track 7 - Lily Pond, Timothy Grub, Where I like To Stand, Swaalow Song and Window over The Bay all have some surface noice and a little top end loss.

SIDE 2

1/ Rose Hip November This track has the other side of the production blister and one other that just runs onto track 2. Each blister is about 2mm. They emit a low knock - each for a short while.

2/ Come Wind Come Rain Has the low knock from the blister at very start.

3/4/5/6 & track 7 - Hebridean Sun, Rainbow River, Trawlerman's Song, Jog Along Bess and Iris's Song For Us all have some light crackles and some top end loss.

The gatefold sleeve has wear and rubbing to the edges and some parts of the front cover have some spotting. The spine is reasonable with some wear to the ends. The back cover has some light wear and a chip. End on the sleeve is wavy. The inner of the sleeve is a little grubby around the edges and has some very light foxing near the center of the spine. The inner sleeve I believe to be the original white generic type. It has some browning around the edges. PHILIPS 6308 019 . Good luck with this real rarity.
