Description
These stereo EMI recordings are from the early '70's. Conductor Sir Adrian Boult is to Vaughan Williams as Reiner is to Bartok in that these are definitive accounts by an English conductor who was close friends with the English composer.
In addition to all of the nine symphonies, this 9-record set includes smaller works as follows:
In the Fen Country Norfolk Rhapsody No. 1 Serenade to Music The Lark Ascending Fantasia on the Old 104th Psalm Tune
Many of the records have never been played, and those that have only on a Rega Planar turntable/arm/cartridge combo. The playing surfaces have never been touched by fingers or anything else. I would rate the vinyl as Near Mint. The box shows some scuffing and storage wear but is intact with no rips or tears; I would rate the box as Good.
Shipping will be by USPS Media Mail and actual shipping cost will be determined by the location of the successful bidder after the sale has closed.
