VELVET UNDERGROUND AND NICO - 'ANDY WARHOL'  produced

VERVE VG-5008

Vinyl - Very Good      numerous light and medium hairlines, scratches, scuffs and marks.  I've carefully and thoroughly cleaned this record and played it through twice on two different turntables in order to confirm my initial impression that this LP sounds really very nice despite the light  to medium scratches that appear visually. There are NO skips or jumps.  While this album has sustained the scuffs and pinscratches that come from countless removals from the paper sleeve, the music and the sound have not suffered accordingly.  The grooves themselves have not been impacted by worn stylus' because there is no distortion in the playback.  All there is, is random light surface noise (clicks / ticks) and even this is nowhere constantly present.  To sum it up - this is an opportunity to pick up a really decent player's copy without the investment that comes with the Near Mint copies.

Jacket - Very Good      the original Gatefold cover still has an unremoved portion of the Banana - as can be seen from the photo.  There is overall medium shelf wear on the front and light ring wear on the back.  The spine has lost a fair amount of it's legibility and some portions of the seams have been expertly and permanently repaired WITHOUT TAPE!

I'm going to make this the 'Cheap Thrill' of the week - as always, with no reserve and I personally guarantee that you will find it to be every bit the bargain it seems to be - especially given that the records sounds terrific compared to the VG visual grade.

Things I'd like you to know:

Low starting prices don't = low quality! The minimum grade vinyl I'll list is VG+ but in most instances they range from VG++ / NM- to NM or M- (Goldmine Reference Standards)

I DON'T do 'Reserve' Pricing. It's a silly game (IMO), and I won't subject you to it!

NOTES ON SHIPPING:

INTERNATIONAL BUYERS – WE LOVE YOU!!!

I DO accept overseas buyers on a invitation to bid basis. Email me with your request and I will quote shipping for you.

To conserve energy and provide fast shipment, I take your purchases to the Post Office on Mondays,
Wednesdays and Fridays. This way you will never have more than a 48 hour gap between payment and shipping.

Green Shipping: All orders are packed with Record Shipment grade mailing boxes that are 100% Recycled.  I don't construct my own - these are legit and virtually Post Office proof.  The inside of the Record mailer is safely reinforced with cardboard and / or Bubble wrap or Poly padding.

Media Mail is not the horror flick some sellers make it out to be. It was to a degree - at one time. USPS has become better aware that Ebay sellers are a principal reason for their continued existence.

Because I ALWAYS provide delivery confirmation to you FREE of charge, you can track it periodically on its way to you. Having said that – now and then, USPS can get a case of the slows - so, I will gladly, on request, provide Priority shipping as an option at a similarly reasonable cost.

If you know you'll want Priority, please kindly alert me before you pay for the item. My personal opinion – if you're ordering from California or a neighboring state, Priority is a waste of money – Media Mail will arrive in approximately the same span of time for about 40 to 50% less $$.

Regarding Multiple purchases:

I'll combine shipping. Each additional LP up to 5 total, will be just .60 cents extra.

I'll be listing hundreds more in a diverse range of musical styles in coming weeks, so bookmark a listing and check back in.
