VELVET UNDERGROUND & NICO-SELF TITLED (1968, Verve)

Condition of Cover: VG, banana peel has been peeled off, not present. Some SW, some EW, most noticeable along left edge. Banana in generally decent shape, some SW and rubbing to it, small dot near top of it, 3 thin scratches to it near bottom. SS along top and bottom edge, top 6", bottom 7" neatly repaired with clear tape. SS along right edge of the first flap, 6", not repaired (no need, really).   

Condition of Record: Visual G, songs play variably depending on the song. The rundown is as follows:

"Sunday Morning," "Venus in Furs," "All Tomorrow's Parties" play VG. "I'm Waiting For The Man" plays a nice VG, approaching VG+. "There She Goes" and "Black Angels Death Song" play nice VG. "Femme Fatale" and "I'm Your Mirror" play VG- with a bit more noticeable background surface noise here and there. "Run Run Run" plays VG with moments of VG- play. "European Son" plays a nice VG, approaching VG+, but has a quick nonrepeating skip at the VERY END of the song (I had to double check, it's quite bizarre). "Heroin" has the beginning intro area playing VG-, with 2 quick nonrepeating skips near the beginning of the track, then the rest of the track plays VG approaching VG+. This is how it played on my Gemini turntable using a Grado cartridge.          

Additional Information: Original to the period (1st press was 1967, this is 1968). V6-5008. Stereo. Gatefold. Includes inner Verve sleeve in not so great shape. No torso on back side of cover (background of stage darkened/airbrushed). No banana peel. "Andy Warhol" and "Peel Slowly and See" on cover.

Grading Scale: My grading scale is as follows:

SEALED, M-, NM, NM-, EX+, EX, EX-, VG+, VG, VG-, G+. I do not sell anything lower than G+. My records are visually and play graded to check for accuracy. My VG+ should have little to no surface noise according to my turntable using a Grado cartridge, and my EX gradings are equivalent to Goldmine's VG++ grading, just more descriptive within the grading spectrum of VG++. My M- is open unplayed. My NM and NM- gradings are reserved for items opened once and played. Therefore, records that are often others' NM-, I will default to EX+ (this and high end VG++ records populate the EX+ grading).  I generally default to VG on covers if the cover has any noticeable ringwear, surface wear, or seam splits.
