Description

THE VELVET UNDERGROUND & NICO.... this is an original pressing on VERVE RECORDS from 1967 of their classic debut LP, featuring Andy Warhol's yellow peel-off banana over the pink banana printed on the cover. The foldout cover is an original stereo jacket with catalognumber V6-5008. It has the peelable banana on the front mainly intact, except for part of the stem torn off as someone tried to get a glimpse of the pink banana underneath - see photo. The back cover is the version where the torso and face that framed the photo has been airbrushed out. Overall the cover is very clean and maintains its original white...; NO seamsplits, NO ring wear; this cover should still grade NEARMINT.... The vinyl is the original blue/silver label stereo pressing and is in stunning pristine NEARMINT/MINT condition - looks unplayed!!  This is the best copy I have come across in many years.... see photo!!!
