We mail all paid items ONE WEEK after auctions end. Our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule by a day or two. We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order. We have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office. Overseas mail to some countries (Italy, Russia, France, in particular) has become very slow. Opening a dispute for slow mail is unacceptable.  We work hard to provide excellent service as is represented by our well over 18,000 positive feedback.   We use an ultrasonic KLAudio machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers for safe delivery.   We take Customer Service seriously, and want you to be satisfied.     ORIGINAL 1969 first pressing on the old VERVE label in a thick gatefold cover...

    Features a terrific selection of groovy old 60's ZAPPA & THE MOTHERS tracks that flow so nicely into one another -- only here!

    Note the bizarre programming choice of including the second and third parts of the "Call Any Vegetable" suite, but not the primary part of the song. Conceptual continuity fiends/Watsonites may consider the positioning of "You Didn't Try to Call Me" to be a kind of pun in progamming, meaning that Verve literally "didn't try to call any vegetable" when they omitted that song ...

    The gatefold cover features a sort of junk collage/sculpture, distinctly reminiscent of Uncle Meat. Most of the objects in the sculpture are the sort of plastic trinkets one used to get out of gumball machines when one was a wee sprout: little skulls and devil faces, rats, toy bottles (one labelled "horse liniment"), tiny gorillas, miniature false teeth (again, reminiscent of Uncle Meat - and doesn't "Tiny Gorillas" sound like a Zappa title?), mingled with tinted pix of the Mothers, a Chinese laundry list, stylized Zappa faces and other detritus, all in a sort of doll house setting. There's a "toilet mouth" image of FZ with what may be a drawing of something awful lurking inside the toilet. The title actually includes a row of those little toys (and a nut and bolt), represented by "****" on the spine and label.The word "MOTHERS" is spelled out in what looks like alphabet blocks. Inside the cover are really nice B&W photos of FZ, Motorhead, Don Preston, Ray Collins, Art Tripp, Bunk Gardner and Ian Underwood. (No Roy or Jimmy Carl? Well, at least they appear on the outside.) Why all this detail? Strangely enough, this is one of the most groovy Zappa & Mothers album covers. Hell, most listeners should really, really like this album.
