Very rare 78 rpm record of Mel Blanc promoting the Woody Woodpecker Show for Mutual radio stations circa 1953. Record must have been sent to Mutual stations to convince them to sign up for the show. Promo seems to be as much for the show as for promoting Capitol children’s records. I have not found a copy of this anywhere in an internet search. Not even a reference to it. If you are a cartoon fanatic or just a Mel Blanc fan you will want this. Woody Woodpecker Show radio episodes are extremely rare and few survive as the show was very short-lived on radio. Record is all Mel interacting with Woody. Side two has excerpts from Capitol children’s records which has Mel portraying all his famous Warners characters. A great piece of Mel Blanc history!
This copy is in excellent condition with excellent labels. It plays loud and clear with very minimal noise. A super copy. WILL CONSIDER OFFERS. Ships Media Mail carefully packed.
