LED ZEPPELIN I LP PURPLE/TAN ATLANTIC ATCO LABEL

Listen to an original pressing of Led Zeppelin's first Studio album, a very rare first pressing. Perfect for a Zeppelin collector, this is the first mix, a little different than the many reissues out there. This record was printed with an Atlantic label in purple and brown. Very few of these around.  Vinyl is in VG to G+ condition depending on the grader. Cover is in VG to VG+ condition, pictured minimal usual damage and wear for a record with this age. Album has been cleaned with a Nitty Gritty and placed in a vinyl sleeve. Cover in a protective sleeps as well.

According to Discogs: It is said that the purple/brown Stereo labels were only produced on Atlantic releases when pressed at RCA Records Pressing plant, Indianapolis. Some say these issues are "club" issues but no proof on release. Others feel that these were created from stock Atco labels to fill the need. "Club" or press error, a very rare label.   This label is rare and only appeared on a few titles from around 8130 to 8200. The Led Zeppelin album error commands premium prices, since not only is the label in error, but side 1 of the album is a different mix from the regular pressing.  Also side 2 does sound a little different from the standard issue. There is a long pause between "Black Mountain Side" and "Communication Breakdown", where the standard issue had no silence at all. And there is an unusually long silence between "Communication Breakdown" and "I Can't Quit You Baby", much longer than was on the standard issue.

Plays without skips, but it has some surface noise and a few pops but still sounds good. There are light scratches and short deeper mark on each side of the album, and I tried to show them in the pictures. The album is very rare regardless and is play tested.
