THE DOORS “MORRISON HOTEL” Absolutely stunning 1978 LP pressing from the incomparable Analog engineers at Warner-Pioneer Corporation of Tokyo, Japan; Electra Records (P-10502E). Superlative gatefold cover complete with OBI strip and 4-page pictorial lyrics foldout insert.
Impeccably clear, deep, immaculate high-definition sound from the true original pioneers of pure Analog LP pressings.
One of the Doors very best LPs with a grit n’ gravel authentic blues ambience. Uniquely, upon its initial release, this magnificent LP generated no “true” hits by definition. It wasn’t until a two-fisted previously unreleased live version of “Roadhouse Blues” appeared on the Jim Morrison commemorative LP, “An American Prayer” by the remaining three members of the band in November 1978 that “Morrison Hotel” resurfaced as a classic effort, and the resurrection of the Doors as an unstoppable influential force began its unparalleled return.
