Description

PLEASE NOTE: I WILL ONLY GRADE AN OPENED LP NEAR MINT (NM) IF I CAN GUARANTEE IT HAS NEVER BEEN PLAYED (i.e. I AM THE ORIGINAL OWNER).  OTHERWISE, NEAR MINT MINUS (NM-) IS THE ABSOLUTE HIGHEST GRADE I WILL ASSIGN AN OPENED LP.

INCREDIBLY RARE Elektra 7E-1053 red label variant from 197? with embossed cover and PRC-W (Recording Company - Compton, CA) label suffix with the artist text in a tall, elongated font and STEREO, side indicators, catalog number and pressing plant indicator all stacked to the left of center hole!!!  NO barcode!!  Release year is unclear as there is not a single entry for this pressing anywhere in the massive, sprawling Discogs database whatsoever.  I have had well over 50-60 copies of this LP pass through my hands in my 40+ years of collecting and I have never seen this label variant before.  RARE as hell.  LP side 1 is a gorgeous near mint minus and side 2 is VG++ with 2 light scuffs.  Cover is VG++ with a hint of ring.  A VERY nice copy of this rarity.

I USE GOLDMINE GRADING:
MINT (SEALED)
NEAR MINT: LOOKS UNPLAYED VG++:  VERY VERY MINIMAL SIGNS OF USE
VG+:  AVERAGE SIGNS OF USE, NOTHING DEEP, SUPERFICIAL VG:  STILL AN OK RECORD, NOISE BETWEEN SONGS
GOOD: WORN BUT PLAYS FINE WITH DISTRACTING NOISE POOR:  FILLER COPY ONLY.  LOTS OF SCRATCHES
