Description

#113
visually graded vinyl Near-MINT; Jacket VG++; lyric inner sleeve VG++; German band Vice released their second album "Second Excess" in 1990. While melodic rock was all the rage in 1990, and these guys played it as well as anyone, Vice never broke through here in the States and achieved any level of success.
Like most melodic rock bands of the late 80s/early 90s, Vice played an extremely catchy brand of hard rock that was made for radio and MTV. Vice combined the sounds of fellow German rockers Bonfire and Casanova, and added in some elements of Bon Jovi and Poison, too. The production is typical of the genre -which means amazing for the uninformed- and the band plays as tight as bands like Motley and Ratt. Favorite songs from the record are "Living on the Radio," "Snakebite," "Shakedown" and "Proud Mary." These guys may have never hit the big time, but that didn't stop them from making a pretty good record anyways.
