Description

Here's a rare copy of Vickie Labat's great northern two-sider "Got To Keep Hanging On" (205-2648) backed with "When You're In Love" (205-2649) on New Orleans' utterly obscure Shagg label. A Wardell Quezerque production, needless to say, and one of his rarest. I've never seen another copy of this thing and probably never will. Condition: This record has been played and has some very minor surface scuffs, but the gloss is still there and it sounds fantastic. There are five very minor nicks on the very edge of the first intro groove to "When You're In Love," however, I've never had problems cuing this record and in fact wouldn't have known they were there was I not studying the thing to write this description. On the same side there are two small spots where part of the label has been removed, probably from the ripping off of a price tag. (See scan). Please see my other auctions for other rare northern soul and funk records.
