Description
Label has some minor wear. Faint etching on the center label. All I can confidently make out it the date "1/08/1901". Play starts out a little rough but quickly improves to a beautifully playing record. The music is incredibly strong and clear. Noise is moderate but comes nowhere close to the sound of the music. Lamination has a few bumps from pressing near the center in both the grooves and dead wax. They do not affect playback. Record has some light surface scratching (nothing deep) throughout and some scuffing. No noticeable ticks or pops, but I only played through once so faint ones may exist that I missed. This is a very clean, considering it's age, and rare 78. Please read below for more information the policies regarding shipping and returns. Private offers will most likely not be considered. I am more than happy to let this sit until it sells or just keep it in my collection.
For sale I have not one but two of the truly rare and scarce "Victor Ten Inch" label 78s. Produced for just 7 days in January 1901, before switching to the "Victor Monarch" label style, there are somewhere around 3 dozen known copies still in existence. I would argue the two copies I have for sale tonight make that roughly 38 copies, and possibly the only known copy of #3016 "Impecunious Davis" by the Metropolitan Orchestra featuring the "Victor Ten Inch" label. (#3013 by Macdonough & Westminster Chimes has appeared for sale once before in 2010 selling for $2200.)

PACKAGING
I pack all my records professionally between 4 new 10.5"x10.5" cardboard pads, wrapped in 8 ft of large bubble bubblewrap, and placed it in a well packed new 12x12x4 box. Due to the value of this item, it will be double boxed as well in a 14x14x6 box. My feedback also shows a consistent track record of buyers being pleased with how I package 78s; no need to worry about it arriving safely!
RETURNS
I accept returns. If the item arrived not as described or damaged, I will pay return shipping. Returns for any other reason will be honored, but buyer pays return shipping. Item must arrive returned in the condition you received it. I do not do partial refunds, if you are unhappy with your purchase please contact me and we can start the return process.
