Description
You are bidding for a CLASSIC UK ROCK 'N' ROLL 45 rpm single by VINCE TAYLOR called MOVE OVER TIGER backed with WHAT-CHA-GONNA DO, issued on the PALETTE record label in the UK in 1961, cat numberPG 9020. The record is in excellent condition, the labels are also excellent. VINCE TAYLOR was one of UK rocks' great originals and one ogf the great rock and roll performers ever. Starting out at the famed TWO I'S COFFEE bar , he made a string of records that were never hits but are now regarded as ROCK AND ROLL CLASSICS. Seeking fame, he travelled to the Continent where he became a huge star in France and BELGIUM causing riots whenever he played. and making a series of great rocking records. However he believed in his own fame and when added to a drug and LSD intake, he started to think he was the new Messiah, and preached from the stage. DAVID BOWIE admits to him being the inspiration behind his ZIGGY STARDUST persona, and VAN MORRISON and others wrote songs about him. Whatever you might think of his later lifestyle , this is a CLASSIC ROCK'N' ROLL RECORD with an A-side written by SKIFFLE's CHAD MECDEVITT. RARE and great for parties and and hard to find in good condition, from my own collection
