Description
This is the 1959 Capitol MONO release on the black/color band label by the iconic Fran Sinatra entitled " In the wee small hours " (W 581). This is one of the more popular early Sinatra LPs and was arranged and conducted by the great Nelson Riddle. The classic tracks (12 in all) features some of the finest music of tis era and composers include such notables as Duke Ellington, Richard Rodgers, Hoagy Carmichael, Cole Porter, among others. Simply splendid music song by the one and only!
The very shiny vinyl shows just a few light scratches and scuffs that do not materially impact the smooth MONO sound produced throughout. We rate the vinyl as a solid VG+. It comes with the original Capitol Records inner sleeve that depicts 60 LP covers from the late 50s. This inner sleeve is way above average with only a small 1.5" untaped slit at bottom center.
The outer jacket has full intact seams on top and side (fully legible side seam printing). The bottom seam has some cracking that keeps the jacket from rating higher as to its overall condition. The jacket cover is quite nice with a noticeable 2+" wrinkle on Frank' suit coat. The back cover is in nice shape with with some minor fading (no added writings). This cover will make a nice candidate to frame if one is so inclined. We rate the jacket overall as VG+. A new poly slip-on outer sleeve is included to help preserve this gem for another 58+ years!
The vinyl within the inner sleeve will be separated from jacket during shipment to help guard against seam damage to the jacket.
