Description

Rare set of two Voice Of America "Grandes Orquestras Sinfonicas" 16" radio transcription discs from 1946 in outstanding N- condition. This Spanish announced program features the Boston Symphony Orchestra conducted by Serge Koussevitzky. They perform Scrabin's "Le Poeme de l'Extase" and Shostakovich's "Symphony No. 9". This appears to have been recorded on either October 4 or 5, 1946 and was the Boston premier of Shostakovich's 9th Symphony. No scratches, sounds perfect. Sleeve is EX.
