VOGEL No Nie Mee Allai (Sunrise (P-079-1966), 1979) 7"
Condition: Sleeve in very good (ringwear, some stains, bit split on bottom) condition; vinyl in very good+ / excellent condition!
Cham-based musician/engineer Robert "Röbel" Vogel working for Etienne Conod"s legendary Sunrise
Studios (Vogel recorded ART BEARS, ART ZOYD, BUCKS, CHECKPOINT CHARLIE, DAVID
THOMAS, FRED FRITH, HEINER GÖBBELS, JOF&RAM, MOTHER'S RUIN, PLATZA, PUTSCH,
RED BALUNE and RED CRAYOLA) with weird artPunk debut recorded in his bedroom (remixed at
Sunrise with the help of Conod!) which brings to mind German noWave acts like DEUTSCH AMERIKANISCHE
FREUNDSCHAFT (circa "Ein Produkt Der …" LP), PLAN or MINUS DELTA T who also designed
collage-like soundscapes.
"No Nie Mee Allai" is a punkish collage based on German traditional Xmas song "Laß Uns Froh Und
Munter Sein", while "Bananas Gaa" references a German lullaby for children, "Schlaf Kindchen Schlaf".
In 1981 a 2nd (and final) VOGEL single ("Good Morning" / "Arschloch") was created in conjunction
with Chris Cutler (of HENRY COW) and released by the then newly-established Recommended label.

The record(s) are removed from the jacket to avoid seam splits. Cardboard paddings will
be used to avoid bending. All records will be shipped in special cardboard mailers.
