Up for grabs is this 100% SEALED copy of VOIVOD - WAR AND PAIN vinyl LP. This is BELIEVED to be a 1987 reissue although it is copyright 1984 by METAL BLADE RECORDS / ENIGMA - E 1104. This was purchased over 25 years ago from a local record seller/distributor who had ties to METAL BLADE RECORDS & a couple other lps that were bought were sealed 87-88 reissues as well. It is very hard to tell the differences on some of the early MB reissues because they did not change the copyright date or have any indication of it being a reissue. Back in the mid 90's I was told by a friend that they had found a few boxes of sealed old stock LPs in the basement of METAL BLADE & I was shown multiple sealed copies of various MB bands. I bought this + 2 SLAYER Hell Awaits, & Haunting The Chapel - sealed lps. I thought they were all FIRST PRESS until I put a HAUNTING THE CHAPEL up for sale many years later & someone pointed out that the hype sticker on it was the 1987 reissue. I was then able to identify that the HELL AWAITS was the 1988 reissue due to the copyright, but was not sure on this LP because the repress is said to have used the same plates. It is an EXACT copy of original. This does have E11O4 printed on the spine. Other copies up here may be the reissues as well. This is just my opinion on this, it COULD be the 1984 version, but figured it's better to be honest, which is why I provided a little history on this. This LP has some minor corner edge wear from years of storage. Will be shipped in a sturdy card board record mailer.
