Description
Up for bid is the VTG 1970s holiday classic CHRISTMAS PORTRAIT by THE CARPENTERS on the A & M RECORDS label (SP 4726 - 1ST PRESS). This record features all the classics, with a sound that can not be matched or duplicated. A great addition to any collection!
Cover is in great shape - no seam splits or unglueing; nice and bright with NO ring and minimal edge and corner wear - still has original cellophane & hype sticker - please see pic. Original liner with lyrics is included; it also has no splits. Record is in VG+ condition on both sides - high gloss and some minor scratches and surface wear when hit with the high beams. Recently cleaned, so you may see a fingerprint or two under the lights. Will be micro fiber wiped one more time before mailing. Both sides have very minimal distortion based on recent playing. Album will be shipped in industrial record mailer, with record separate from jacket, and wrapped in saran for maximum protection.

GRADING:
Grading is done both visually under a strong light and via playing on a state of the art, old school turntable. :) I try to grade honestly and fairly. Vinyl grading is based on the Goldmine standard and is as follows:
NM: This is the highest grading. Record should look unplayed, shiny, glossy, no visible marks. A darn perfect record!
VG++: Darn near close to NM
VG+: Record may have a few minor marks or surface scuffs. Still a darn nice record
VG: Record will have light scratches, noticeable marks, and surface noise may be apparent. Darn, there's some flaws to this record.
VG-/G: This darn record is rough/Darn this record!!!
Opening bid is arrived at using a combination of cover grade, vinyl grade and HTF'ness.
