Description

VYT - "I Haven't Got You / Why Do I Cry" Original 7" 45 rpm single, CBS label BA-221344, released 1966. Promo copy, Australian pressing in company sleeve. Vyt (& The World) were an Australian group based in Sydney from 1966 to 1968. Their recorded output consisted of just a few singles which are extremely hard to come by. Unlike their later singles which were more pop/psych, this first single from 1966 is harder-edged Garage with dominant overdriven guitar. Also of particular note is the B-side, a 'killer' version of The Remains "Why Do I Cry" . CONDITION: Vinyl: VG PLUS . This record plays exceptionally well with powerful dynamics. There are a number of surface sleeve scuffs and surface marks but these do not adversely affect playability. Background surface noise is surprisingly minimal (only one or two very low volume clicks are heard which are barely noticable) and is well and truly overpowered by the dynamics of the music. The vinyl still has quite good gloss/sheen. Labels are clean apart from an extremely faint "Not For Sale - Sample Record" stamp on Side A and a minute white sticker on the Side A label and former owner initial on B side. In summary , a very difficult to come by Australian Garage 45 from 1966 which would be a highly prized addition to any collection of this genre. Good luck with your bidding! Very rare collectible. Pictures form part of the description. Low start price. Postage & Handling in Australia is $3.10, New Zealand $6.00, Asia $6.35, USA $8.40 and UK $8.4.0. I will combine postage. Two EP's can be sent for the same postage as one. Please view my other auctions for rare and collectable books and comics and stuff.
