First come first served. Do you really think I'm getting rid of this material because I want to? It's some of the most kick butt stuff I have. I'm lowering the price but just remember the first person to bid gets in the queue or the first person to buy, if no one has bit yet, gets it and the rest miss out. I am in desperate need of money or else I wouldn't be doing this at all! Wake up world. Keep looking back because when the price is right this is gone. The material on this record consists of almost the entire Jonestown "death tape" (Q42) from November 18, 1978, along with approximately 2.5 minutes of additional Jim Jones speeches and sermons at the start of side A.

Picture disc with inserts released in an edition of 912 hand-numbered copies, one copy for each dead person of the mass suicide.

Included are some flyers and a 16 page booklet with photos and typed up transcript of the "revolutionary suicide" proceedings plus an interview with Jordi Valls / Jim Jones: Messages For The Total Man album plus cover signed with message from Jim: "Jesus is able to do abundantly above anything you ask or think! In His love and mine  Jim"

Sealed People's Temple Choir album says, in part, on the back: "Join us as we sing, in the joyous Gospel sytle, to the Glory of God Made Real. He has touched us in numerous ways, and we can truly say, "He's able!".

In regard to the picture disc Valls relays:
 
"It's the original live recordings while 912 people were committing suicide drinking poison at the behest of cult leader Jim Jones, in Guyana, 1978. We call it disco-verite. It's a beautiful picture-disc L.P., and we only made 912 copies, hand numbered in gold, one for each dead body. It's the best life and death album ever made."

David Tibet of Current 93 fame writes:

For a start - speaking the obvious - it's not exactly full of melodies and songs you have known and loved. But you do get two sides of screams and crying, as the Reverend Jim exhorts his flock "to go to sleep". Hear the sounds of the parishioners guzzling back their Kool-Aid - the cyanide-laced drink that you know makes sense - whilst Dad wearily intones "All it is is taking a drink to take... to go to sleep... That's what death is - sleep."

A quote from Vagina Dentata Organ: "We present music for restaurants; but, primarily, this LP is an anti-guru record. Obviously, the uses for this record are manifold, from the sensible to the ludicrous.

I'd like to see it in every library as a pointer to what happens when power is abused (cue Tibet's "social conscience" noises).

Hear Jim Jones ooze with sincerity in such lines as "I'm the best friend you'll ever have..." With priests like Jim Jones around, getting involved in the religious life takes on a whole new dimension...

Naturally enough, people will take it as just a sick joke: but look behind you: there are many Jim Jones coming, abusing your trust, and they all have knives. Buy this LP - expensive though it is - and you'll have a copy of the best live gig in history!
