Description
Here is a nice copy of this album, First-Issue, on the old Charisma pink-scroll label, and including the lyric sheet. This is a Charity sale - the album was a kind donation to Naomi House, a Hampshire hospice charity.
I "do the records" for the local charity shop, so am e-baying this for them.
Photos are the item for sale.
Briefly, VG (ish) cover, VG lyric insert, VG record.
The gatefold cover is flat on the outside, but rippled on the inside - kinda wavy. There is no significant damage, but there is wear - especially to top and bottom edges, and wear means that the black of the cover image is less black than it originally was. Opening and the other end of the cover, are very good. Spine is excellent, some wear to the corners. I've added a scan of a scanner's-worth of the front cover - cover image is entirely intact and my scan shows the slight loss of blackness I described.
Lyric sheet shows handling and a little creasing, but intact and clean.
The record looks flawless at first sight, but very close inspection shows 2 or 3 tiny scratches, perhaps 1/4" long.
I've listened to most of this record, it plays loud and clear, with no distortion, sounds as it should. Long sections of it play perfectly, but you are likely to hear crackling here-and-there in most of the quiet parts, and one of the tiny scratches is audible - proper cleaning may well reduce crackling.
Rare Record Price Guide says £90 for a mint copy of this. This isn't mint, so we'll start at £15.
I can accept returns within one week - after that, I'll have given the proceeds over to the Charity.
