Van Der Graaf Generators "The Least We Can Do Is Wave To Each Other". Original Charisma pink label LP issued in the UK in 1970.

Looking for a keeper copy of this wonderful LP? Tired of overgraded LPs or vague descriptions on Ebay? Or what about when an LP is only visually graded? Not good. But not here.

So here you go, a fantastic copy still in great playing condition. The grooves are not worn out, the gatefold jacket is in great shape and the icing on the cake, it includes the rare poster in excellent condition.

Matrix #s: Side 1: CAS+1007+A+G    Side 2: CAS+1007+B+G

LP visually: VG+  Still glossy with only a minimum of surface marks,few actually. VG+ seems to be the most overused and abused grade on Ebay. And no comment on the VG++, etc. grade. Absurd if you ask me. Oops, I commented.  Anyway, this is a solid VG+ copy that has not been abused and still has lots of playing life left in it. The vinyl is very clean.

LP plays:  VG+  Sounds superb with only the the slightest of background surface noise heard occasionally. I noticed it mainly at the beginning of sides, between some tracks and the most quiet of moments. Refugees, the acid test for this LP has only the slightest of surface noise. Any surface noise heard is not overpowering to the enjoyment of the music. This is a keeper copy. Even a true near mint usually has some degree of surface noise. Also no skips or sticking.

Jacket:  VG+ The gatefold jacket is in solid shape. The spine is not crushed or worn out as so many are. It has light wear only . The other edges have normal shelf wear. There is some ringwear present, more so on the back than the front. There are no splits! The inside opens up to pictures of the band and is in excellent shape.

Poster:  The hyper rare and highly coveted poster is in excellent shape with no tears or pinholes. Just the normal folds from storage in the jacket. It retains its great graphic clarity, opening up to be quite the nice poster, front and back. The front is a wonderful psychedelic image while the back contains the lyrics to this epic LP.

Note: the LP was played on a Thorens TD 165 turntable beginning to end with a Shure middle of the line cartridge and needle tracked at 1.1 grams. Other systems may produce different results.

I have tried to describe this LP as accurately as possible and many people have told me I grade conservatively. I buy LPs a lot on Ebay myself and so I know the disappointment of overgraded vinyl and/or jackets. Since I have bought more than sold in recent history please click on my feedback and then feedback left by buyers as I have sold hundreds of LPs and CDs on Ebay.

Packing:  The LP, jacket and poster will be carefully packed with the LP shipped outside of the jacket. It comes in a resealable outer LP jacket sleeve to protect everything. I take pride in this and have never had anything damaged.  I use LP boxes for shipment, not a bubble mailer or a flattened box or otherwise.
